Award Grant to Transcribe Oral Histories

The Queen Anne Historical Society is honored to have been awarded a grant in the amount of $8,000 from 4Culture to preserve, digitize and eventually transcribe over 150 oral histories taken with neighborhood old-timers in the 1980's. This is the society's very first grant award from 4Culture or any other government agency. The technological work will be done by Jack Straw Productions. Volunteers will transcribe the tapes.
