You're
at 7th Ave. West and West Crockett
The first
photo of 7th Avenue West and Crockett Street, looking
northeast, was taken in 1912 by James Patrick Lee; part of
the Lee Collection of photographs of the University of Washington.
James Lee in 1910 was a messenger boy for the Seattle Engineering
Department. Beginning in 1913 through his retirement in 1957,
he was a photographer for the blue-print and photographic division
which documented the progress of major city construction jobs.

You may be able to see the streetcar tracks which ran along
7th Ave. The street, as part of the Queen Anne Boulevard project,
was to be paved in the next year.
Just one block south, major road grading, property condemnation, and wall
building would be necessary to complete the walk we have today
with the beautiful westerly
views from Seventh Ave. West.
