    Gary manifested a life-long dedication to preserving Seattle history in over 40 years on Historic Seattle’s governing council, in the conservation of the Queen Anne’s historic Treat House and, in his last years, the protection of Discovery Park from encroachment of any kind. Creating Cultural Heritage: Picture Perfect Queen Anne/Community - organization and implementation beginning in 2006 to enhance our Queen Anne neighborhood.

    The Prairies, having purchased the business in 2017 are carrying on the tradition of the authentic Danish pastries of the founder John Nielsen. Consecutively they have been making pastries since 1965.

    For the restoration of academic hall designed by John Parkinson and built in 1891.
