Thomas Horton Queen Anne Stairways Collection of the Queen Anne Historical Society

Thomas Horton created The Map of the (Oft) Pedestrian Public Stairs of Queen Anne Hill (2008) along with a companion website celebrating the many delightful and numerous public stairways of Queen Anne. Much of this material is now available on qahistory.org. As part of his research, Thomas photographed the stairways—more than 3,000 images in total—and generously donated the digital rights to the Queen Anne Historical Society Archives. This curated collection features a photograph of each of the 120+ public stairways on Queen Anne in Seattle, Washington, as they appeared in 2007.
