Queen Anne: Discovered!

We kicked things off on Saturday, June 13, uniting nine nonprofit organizations, 19 local merchants, musicians, art, volunteers, and activity partners. What a day! A dog adoption event with Saving Great Animals! Sports galore with Pickle at the Palms, challenges by MoveMend, and yoga in the grass by häutēyoga.  The Queen Anne Little League was on hand with hydration and sustenance and we had seedlings and flower power with Picture Perfect Queen Anne, and trail walks with Supporters of MacLean Trails, along with a litter pick and community booth with We Heart Seattle and a Guided Walk Through the Southwest Corner with Queen Anne Historical Society. 

Wearing our civic engagement hat, we also welcomed City Attorney Erika Evans, Seattle City Councilmembers Bob Kettle and Dionne Foster, along with State Representative Julia Reed. These electeds embraced our “no speeches” day and got down to some serious pickleball, dog petting, and genuine conversations with neighbors along the way.
