Join us as award-winning author and naturalist David B. Williams discusses his just-released book, In the Range of Fire and Ice: A Human and Natural History of Washington’s Cascades.

Blending human and natural history, Williams brings the Cascades vividly to life through stories drawn from conversations with anthropologists, park rangers, ecologists, and climate scientists, as well as his own experiences in the mountains. Discover the stories etched into this dynamic landscape over millennia and see the Cascades anew as a living, evolving realm of fire, ice, and hope.
